
Biography
As a lifelong artist, Yvette M. Sartin is always looking for the next opportunity to translate their everyday experiences into artistic expressions. When Yvette was a child she told her Dad she wanted to be a card maker as in designing, illustrating greeting cards. There was a time when taken to the toy store she was allowed to pick one toy but instead she decided on a kit that would teach her calligraphy. From there she practice all the time. But also learning making jewelry out of clay, pottery on the wheel, framing her own art, involved in art show at school, belonging to calligraphy club, art honors society and taking classes at York art association. In high school her art teachers had a big impact on her and some that held a very special place in her heart to this day. All of these were important roles in her life. Yvette moved onto college and debated between fine art or commercial art illustration. She decide Commercial art illustration and perusing this at Pennsylvania School of Art and Design. Everyday she couldn't wait to wake up and go to school. She was the first in her family to attend schooling after high school and was very thankful. She had 3 years there where she learned to illustrate with photography, ink, watercolor, acrylic, 3D models, draw using computers, paint in different mediums from some of the best illustrators. Teaching so many techniques that she would carry with her the rest of her life, she mixed them into her watercolors, clay jewelry, photography, calligraphy and designing where her whole heart is involved.
Yvette always knew she was a little different in seeing the world...everything was about colors and how they go together. It just came natural for her.
No matter what, Yvette M. Sartin approaches each project with complete enthusiasm and total dedication.
